What an incredible weekend we had last weekend at the 2016 Boot & Buckle. It was a joy to have everyone join us for a memorable time. We’re pretty sure Chuy’s dancing with Jonny Mogambo will be an image we will all carry with us for a long time!

All of the meals were excellently received and each was a smashing success! During Carne Asada day on the Dunes, Chuy’s homemade authentic guacamole was all the rage, with people taking seconds on multiple occasions.

The first annual Closest-to-the-Pin on the Old Wagon Course featured some amazing shots, a few canyon balls destined for the pine needles, and surprisingly, a few broken trees! It was about as fun of a 92-yard shot as can be found. Congratulations to Mike Hedlund (photo below) on his victory in the contest, stuffing one in there, nice and tight.

Also, we’d like to issue a hearty Nebraskan congratulations to the champions of the overall, Devon Wegner & Matt Ulrich.

To keep up with tradition, it was the second straight year where a hole-in-one was recorded during Boot & Buckle weekend. This year’s recipient was Brad Nichols, a guest of Member Darrell Dunham, who made an ace on the par-3 Pines 10 during a practice round. Congrats Brad!
