Homesteader Recap: Our final event
September 3, 2019 —
Last weekend provided another memorable event with The Homesteader — our member-focused weekend held August 29 – September 1.
This year was a first on a few different fronts:
A) We held the event over Labor Day weekend — something we’ve never done before.
B) We opened the event for members/guests (and received the most entries in the history of the event).
We had a number of new participants — wives, sons, new guests — and it was a fantastic weekend.
If you weren’t able to join us, feel free to check out the weekend’s schedule of events, where we had the following:
— A Horse Course, two-man TRUE alternate shot event.
— Shotgun Two-Man Best Ball on the Dunes (Friday) and Pines (Saturday)
— Unbelievable on-course lunches (including grilled cajun fajitas that blew everyone’s socks off).
— Live entertainment with our dueling piano friends
— A memorable 6-person Horse Race to determine the champion
— Fantastic, night-capping dinners including: prime rib, southwestern maple-glazed salmon, BBQ buffalo back ribs and delicious appetizers.
— Tee prizes of a Stitch duffle bag package.
The Results
This year’s Homesteader was the first event where we featured Father/Son teams and it was a Father/Son team that took home the gold!
