A Look Back: The Jackrabbit Money List ($$)

From 2015 until 2019, late September was reserved for The Jackrabbit.

Many of you took part in this great event with South Dakota State.

In honor of the event, we thought it would be interesting to look back and conduct a “Jackrabbit Money List” of participants that have since gone on to prove themselves in the professional realm.

It’s fun to see the talent that has come to rural Nebraska to compete!

Career Earnings (year participated in Jackrabbit in parenthesis):

• Jon Rahm (2015): $29,775,221  
  • The 2021 US Open champion and current world #1 is the greatest player on record to ever step foot on our property. When he competed in the 2015 Jackrabbit while at Arizona State, he finished 10th place (75-69-70). Rahm is a current European Ryder Cup team member and probably a future World of Golf Hall of Famer.
• Aaron Wise (2015): $7,381,535
  • While a member of the Oregon Ducks golf team, Wise finished T1 in Jackrabbit event in 2015. Since then, he’s continued his meteoric rise up the world rankings, where he currently ranks 100th. The now 25-year old won the 2018 AT&T Byron Nelson, edging out Marc Leishman for his first PGA Tour victory.
• Chase Koepka (2015): $314,581
  • Younger brother to four-time major champion Brooks, Chase made his appearance at the Jackrabbit as a member of the South Florida golf team. Chase has made 10 starts on the PGA Tour, working to cut his teeth the way his brother did on the Euro Challenge Tour.
• Doc Redman (2016): $3,535,676 
  • Redman was the winner of the 2016 Jackrabbit after he shot a then, believed-to-be Dunes Course record 63 during the opening round. His 54-hole total was the lowest 54-hole total in Clemson golf in 13 years! Since, he’s also become two-time PGA Tour runner-up, where he ranked inside the top-75 in the world during the 2020 golf season.
• Robert MacIntyre (2015): $5,401,139 
  • This McNeese State golfer is currently ranked 55th in the world and has earned his way on the European Tour. MacIntyre played in the Jackrabbit in 2015 and placed T24 (75-73-73). He has two international victories and finished T8 in the 2021 Open Championship.
• Hayden Buckley (2017): $446,478 
  • This Missouri Tiger placed T25 in his lone appearance at The Jackrabbit. Since graduating, he’s improved at an incredible rate, eventually earning his PGA Tour card for the 2021-2022 season via the Korn Ferry money list. Buckley was an early T3 at the 2021 U.S. Open after round 1 at Torrey Pines.

This was a blast to look back and research and as we continued to see more and more names, we suspect that this list could go on and on.
