Sergio Leads Morrison, Carey, & Morris to Top of 2017 Majors Contest Standings
April 21, 2017—
Many would argue that Sergio Garcia was the best golfer the world without a major championship. That is, until 2017 Augusta when the 37-year-old Spanish player was awarded one of golf’s greatest treasures–the green jacket.
On top of the seeming curse hanging over Garcia’s head at major championships, things did not look positive for Garcia heading into The Masters. His final round prior to The Masters was a 6 & 4 loss to a fellow Spaniard (and former participant in The Jackrabbit at The Prairie Club) Jon Rahm.
Despite the odds, a handful of courageous members placed their confidence in the underdog. Congratulations go out to Alex Morrison, Erin Carey, and Hal Morris, who sit atop the standings of our 2017 Majors Contest through one of four majors.
Stay tuned for results following the U.S. Open! (Watch our friends at Erin Hills prepare for this year’s event.)
