Ben Wright Visits The Prairie Club

Longtime CBS golf broadcaster Ben Wright was on property last week. It was Mr. Wright’s first trip to Nebraska.

A long-time golf group of close to 30 members have been taking golf trips together since 1982. Over the years, the group has gathered for golf and fellowship, finding destinations throughout the country that embraced both. This year (with help from a few of our members in the group), they landed on The Prairie Club. Nine members of this most recent trip were new members of the group.

Members of the group traveled from Georgia, Texas, California, Colorado, Montana, and Indiana. Mr. Wright traveled in from North Carolina.

Mr. Wright was brought with the group to share. He spoke about Ben Hogan. He shared historic wins he’d witnessed (including Jack in 1986). He had stories about Sam Snead. He talked about the Masters. It was an evening of good wine and great storytelling. And Mr. Wright was impressed by the Club.

During his visit, Mr. Wright took a trip “The vastness of this place is absolutely incredible,” said Mr. Wright, as he rode around the courses.
