“Best Ever” — Your 2023 Boot & Buckle Results & Recap

“That might be the best Boot & Buckle I’ve been a part of since I joined the club.”
Those were the words by a long-time member, one who has competed in many of our Boot & Buckle events since 2010. After months of hard work, it was incredibly encouraging to hear.
He’s right, everything went off without a hitch — aside from a hour plus delay because of rain on Friday.

Johnny Mogombo, “The One Man Band,” put on a great show for us on Friday night. He’s become a bit of a favorite for the membership.
Members loved the StraightDown van for merchandising and left with great new apparel.
Perhaps a highlight of the weekend was the 50/50 team buy-in for the main tournament. We’d never done this before and 50% of all cash buy-ins went to the Foundation Scholarship. Our members were able to raise $2,350.
By the end of the weekend, we had contributions north of $5,000 — a good win for the foundation, which is absolutely fantastic.
