Golf Course Policy Update: July 2021
July 21, 2021—
Taken from our July 18 email.
A few months into the 2021 season, our Director of Golf Loudan Steffes has a few words he’d like to pass along regarding our golf operation.
Give it a read:
Hi there, Members —
What an incredible start to 2021. It’s been outstanding.
I can speak for myself, first and foremost, it’s been really great to see all of the friendly and familiar faces at the club again. I love hearing your stories and catching up on your lives.
My golf staff and I would like to quickly touch base on a couple of things that we’ve noticed develop over the past few weeks and months.
- Pace of Play:
- We know how pace of play affects the experience here at TPC and want to keep it strong on our golf courses. As members, we thank you for your leadership in this way. Pace time for a foursome on each course should be no more than four hours and fifteen minutes [4:15]. For a threesome or less, no more than four hours [4:00]. Please always have the courtesy to let faster players move through.
- Music:
- Music on our property is permitted. However, we ask that it is only played loud enough to be heard from your cart. Music echoing across the prairie disrupts an experience that another group of golfers may be seeking. Please, continue to be respectful with volume levels.
- Starter:
- Starting in August, we will no longer have a starter or marshall monitoring the property. This means we will rely even further on our membership to maintain pace of play and start times.
Thank you all for a great season so far. The courses look great, but I can leave those updates to our agronomy team.
In the meantime, I can’t wait to see you again soon.
