Homesteader 2020 Recap

News

September 22, 2020 —

Well, that blew.

No, that’s not what we mean. Homesteader 2020 was an absolute blast. We just had a pretty darn windy day of competition on Saturday.

But hey, that’s what makes golf on the open prairie so fun.

Let’s start with the champs, Jeff Orthaus and Brad Jacobson —both of Watertown, SD— took home of the Homesteader championship, and the wicked cool hardware.

The pair navigated the gusting winds, an 18-hole shamble on the Dunes, an 18-hole modified chapman on the Pines, and a shoot-out on Sunday morning to claim victory.

Congrats, fellas!

As for other elements to the weekend, T.C. had great food pumping from the kitchen. Take a look at some of the menus:

Absolutely phenomenal stuff. Reviews were raving from the Caprock and Canyon dining areas.

To see the entire weekend’s recap in photo form, we’ve aggregated all of the photos in an album. See photos here.

Do you have some great photos from the weekend? Well, send them to us here! We’ll add them to the album.

Thank you to all who came and enjoyed the weekend for our final event of 2020.

It was fantastic to see so many of you.
